10. What is fat-free half-n-half??

9. Being the Montessori family that we are, we have never up until this past week, have had report cards. My four kiddos were very stressed out over this new adventure. All turned out well and they decided that they really don't like the pressure of grading..oh to live in a Montessori world.

8. Let's talk about Flickr..lets talk about how much Amber adores this web-site and how she is fully addicted to it..I hope it does not replace my love of the blog.

7. I miss being tan, I had forgotten how white I really am.

6. I also miss wearing my sunglasses 24/7 do you know how much morning prep can be avoided with the aid of sunglasses?? Alot.

5. Yesterday we tried out church #9, yes that means we have visited 9 churches since the move. We have issues.

4. Oh I'm soo ready for spring break, but I think they need to rename it sprinter break..just for me:)

3. I received an email that went something like this.."Dear parents, yes you signed your child up for softball, but as of right now we have no one to coach the team."
You all know where this one is going don't you?
Oh the things we do for our kiddos.

2. Registered the twins last week for 7th grade.
How surreal is that?
I do have a little bit of a confession to make..I was very disappointed that neither one of my boys wanted to enroll in band. Here all this time I've been looking forward to reliving my very exciting band years (truly it was the most fun I had in school) they are the kind of "bandish" boys (not sportish) and yes I thought we would all have great bandish times together..**sigh** They did give me a consolation when I told them about my disappointment.."Mom you know, the other two might want to join band." Oh Yay!! There is still hope!!

Shad and Dylan are going to be in 7th grade??

Here is my top ten most irritating things about having kids in school and sports.

10. Your child will
NOT EVER PLAY PRO SPORTS
so calm down...he/she is only 8.

9. Scholastic book orders. Twice a year sure...every other day not ok. Yes I want my kids to read..but I can get all the books I need for FREE at the library. Do you know how many trees you killing with all those dang flyers.

8. Speaking of killing trees...
Every single day all four of my children bring home soooooo many papers. Do they learn anything anymore that is NOT on a worksheet??

7. More dead trees..
Yearbooks for elementary school..WHAT??? So I need to kick down 15 bucks per child for them to have a yearbook for 3rd grade?? Add that up for every year of school..thats like 5 billion dollars in yearbooks.

6. We had 8th grade graduation..then 12th grade graduation..
Now..Pre-school, Kindergarten, 5/6th grade, 8th grade and finally 12th..but of course by then who cares.

5. FUNDRAISING!! I'm tired of WHORING out my adorable children to raise money. No my parents don't want popcorn, or magazines or kitten sweaters.

4. Sports FUNDRAISING!! I paid ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY DOLLARS for my daughter to play on your team..you want me to fund raise on top of that? But how will I ever have enough time when we are at practice 7 days a week for the 8 year old softball team.

3. Where did all the art and music classes go??
Now I have to have my kid to school at 6 am if they want to be in band.
Oh yeah you think your kid is going to go pro..

2. Why do you let your 10 year daughter dress that way?
She has a bright future ahead of her..as a stripper.

1. RESPECT or rather the lack of it.
That sure is going to work out when you grow up and have to get a job.

10. Normally I don't post about such things, but this whole Rihanna thing is really disgusting. I'm sure she does not even realize the message she is sending to thousands of young girls across the world. It's ok to get the crap kicked out of you..then go back to the guy who did it.

9. Zach brought two pairs of my boots to this boot repair guy that came highly recommended. Can I just say that for 32 bucks this guy made my 6 year old boots look brand new!! Made my dang day.

8. 3 books in one week..wondering why I have so much housework today..
7. Chalk #8 up to yet another one of Amber's coping skills..along with eating..nice.
I wish my coping skills were starvation and too much exercise.

6. I did not run into anything this week Starbucks..I'm soo dang proud of myself.

5. One of the books I read was horribly disturbing. I don't often read books that are scary. I get..well..scared of course!!
It has just been made into a movie, it's called The Road.
Now I'm all freaked out.

4. Miss Elaine sent me the very sweetest little package in the mail..with a little something from Anthro..just cuz. Can I just tell you how much I love the "just cuz" kind of mail.

3. Swappy Ladies..spring is near..

2. I have thought up a name for this time of year here in Washington. Us Washingtonish type people get all excited because really it's been gray and rainy since about October 15..we get our hopes up that spring is just around the corner..but really it's not. Really spring lasts until the 4th of July. So now I call this time..
Sprinter..not quite spring and not quite winter..Sprinter..I kinda like it:)

1. Lately I just love Saturdays..gloriously free of any expectations or destinations..oh to live a life of Saturdays.

9. Had a great visit with Anna and her hubby Greg this week. So fun!! We woke up to snow on Thursday, when your from AZ waking up too snow is a pretty big deal:)

7. Zach lost his wedding ring on Thursday in the city..kinda bummed us both out for some reason.

6. Speaking of wedding rings..we are coming up on our 13th anniversary.

5. That means my baby twin boys will be 12 in May, dear Lord help me.

4. I just finished a couple of really good books: The Soloist-a homeless guy and his reporter friend, just made into a movie..good read.
Sandition-This was Jane Austen's last novel, she got sick and was unable to finish. It was finished by another author. You can tell when Jane stops and the other lady starts up, but it's still super good and very much still a Jane Austen novel.

3. Isabelle has won a Hawk Award of the month for February. Funny cuz that is only her second month at this school, yay for Sis!!

2. I'm totally obsessed with this blog. One day when I grow up I want to take pictures just like this.

1. So my last post (the fab picture of tuplips) was my 150th post.
