The List.

Meet Pepper...

Some fall goodness here in the NW...

10. As if things were not crazy enough around Roosevelt House, I had a momentary laps of better judgment and brought home a 4 week old kitten. I mean what is a girl to do when a sweet little puffball is thrust into your hands and you are told if you don't take him, he is more than likely going to meet his maker?? He is currently requiring bottle feeding and thinks that I'm his mommy..great another mammal following me around asking for food.

9. The original structure here at Roosevelt House was built in 1924..this week we were lucky enough to drop around a grand on updating the heating system (this was an unexpected expense). One thousand dollars equals 2 months of our cooling bill in AZ..I guess it's all about how you look at it..

8. Fall is here!! I'm pretty sure this has been the most SPECTACULAR fall in my adult life here in WA..it is like an AZ winter only better, because here in WA we have these things called TREES and they are really pretty this time of year:)

7. So would you think that pumpkin and pasta would ever go well together?? Well it does and it's super yummy. Go check out this recipe..it's a perfect fall dinner AND you will look like an ace chef without hardly any labor..even better.

6. I pretty much HATE Halloween..I'm going to start a facebook fan page, called BAN Halloween, you wanna join?

5. So I'm working (or rather having work done) on a real official web-site for Tres Birds Photography..I'm pretty dang excited about it..can't wait to show you all!!

4. In just a couple of weeks I am going to attend another Junk Junket with Come Junk with Us! I'm pretty excited for this day, lots of junk, lots of prizes and of course lots of food..that pretty much rates up there with one of my best days ever.

3. I'm wondering if I should decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving this year..what do you think?? Then I could have a killer party and invite you all over for some egg nog:)

2. We have a 3 day weekend this weekend. I'm not sure what for and really I don't care. I'm just super stoked to sleep in on Monday..Zach if you read this, yes I will take breakfast in bed, thank you very much;)

1. Something to chew on this week...
I've been thinking alot about the word Truth. Let me ask you this..if you don't believe in something does that make it untrue?? Think about it this way..
If I did not believe the Grand Canyon existed would that mean it was not really there? Are you following me?
Our belief in something does not effect its truthfulness one way or another.
The Grand Canyon exist regardless of my belief in it..
hmmmm deep thoughts. What are your thoughts on this??

Oh! And Miss Elaine is hosting a give-away..go check it out! It's too cute!!

10)Oh, I can't wait to really meet, touch and squeeze Pepper. I just love kittens. I still love mine...actually, I love them more now that they are 'outside' kittens.
8)we really missed Fall altogether here. It was below 10 last week and the leaves are going from green to dead.
6)I wanna join - actually, just one more advantage to living rural - I don't even notice Halloween (could also have something to do w/the fact that I don't leave my house)
5)YAY!
4)Hopefully there will be some charms involved...
3)1st response is wait, but, if you're going to have a killer party then before might be better.
1)Truth Matters!!! hey, I did a kid's musical by that title once...

I believe I gasped when I initially saw the pic of the kitten. You haven't had one since Rain and Autumn!
Next you'll have chickens named Nutmeg, Paprika and Cumin... Maybe a goat named Saffron?

I do love Autumn... I'm glad I don't have 'grown up' responsibility of paying for those big bills. I'm sure if I had the money though, I would be doing the same :)

Side note to my madre - the musical was called 'Truth Works'. I should know. I was in it twice ;)

My sympathies on the kitten. The beautiful little puff balls always turn into cats. Hopefully Pepper will be a great mouser which is why God created them. I used to love kittens but nowadays just want to be animal free. Not sure what changed. I love fall. I love the wind and even the rain if I am not running around too much. I love the cool weather but I don't love the heating bill! I pretty much ignore Halloween and always have except for giving out candy to kids and I love giving kids candy. My poor children only got to dress up at tea parties. Oh well, they survived. Decorate for Christmas when you are fully inspired to do so and when you won't be sick of the deco before the holiday. I personally love Christmas and all of my decorations. I could go for the party though! Truth is important but if not mixed with life and action it is useless. Just because I believe something doesn't make it true. I get deluded at times. Maybe if you think it is true it would be safer! Fun list! Hope to see you soon!

The one part of owning a house I don't miss. Ok, seriously...a kitten? How are those night feeds? Good Times. Speaking of good times, I think you should fly down to see Whip It with me! :)Oh saw this blog and thought of you...http://www.doriegreenspan.com/.

Girly...o.k...you already know the thoughts that keep invading my mind every other day regarding my kitty! Did you know our cat Ginger had a sister we named pepper? Somewhere we lost her, huh...I wonder what happened to her? Let's leave that one alone. Fall, yeah my favorite too, can't get enough. Halloween...hmmm...never really liked it, but try to make the most of it w/ the kiddos.
I'm down for the Christmas party...could even call it a Thanksgiving Day Party if you didn't want to get too far ahead of yourself ;) Eggnog sounds awesome right now.
Truth is truth regardless of whether you believe or not. Skinny is skinny and no matter how hard I believe that I am skinny...it doesn't make it so...fat is fat, right? LOL...
It is what it is...
